For the first 50 years of my life, my perfectionist self mistakenly believed it was all about knowing more, getting it right, planning, attempting to prevent bad things from happening, and keeping all of my chicks in a row. It took me this long to discover that the JOURNEY is all that matters. This quote from Gilda Radner sums it all up:

"I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.

Mad Dawg Again

Maddie.  AKA Mad Dawg.

I've had a lot of cats, but none like her!

She must be smart, because she can figure things out!

Like how to sneak a mid-day snack from the cat food bin!

And she notices EVERYTHING.

Like the little opening above my spice pull-out!

And a hair elastic on the floor of the shower.

And she's not afraid of heights AT ALL!

She's even been known to climb the extension ladder
to the second story roof of the house!

You'd better watch out when her eyes look like this!

She is more than a year old now.
You would think she'd be calming down a bit.
And she is .....  sometimes.

But even when she's asleep, she is aware of what's going on.

Her tail is a dead give-a-way!
